JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsibilities : SHIFT (Tues-Sat: 11:30pm-8:30am)
?Provide high level technical support during problem determination and resolution.
?Interfaces directly with customer to provide support.
Qualifications :
?College Degree preferred but will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.
?BS degree or equivalent work experience required.
?Min 4 years operational experience in an IBM AS400 environment.
?Strong knowledge AS400 server hardware and peripherals.
?Strong knowledge of OS400 administration and troubleshooting.
?2 years working in a PC/LAN or UNIX environment. RS6000 experience a plus.
?3-year experience in a role involving direct customer contact (internal and external customers).
?Knowledge of backup-restore methodologies, exposure to large-scale hardware configurations is a plus.
?Working knowledge of TCP/IP.
?Excellent oral and written communication skills.
?Must be able to work shift weekend.
?Must be self-motivated, team player, and able to immediately contribute to a fast paced, deadline intensive environment.
?Must be able to learn quickly in a highly technical fast paced environment. Proficiency in Windows based applications i.e., WORD, EXCEL, etc.
