1. Access the rootvg with all file systems mounted by following the procedure
described in Section 4.4.2, “Accessing a system that will not boot” on page 110.

2. Check for free space in /, /var and /tmp by using the df command.
3. Check the /etc/inittab file and correct the inittab problems if there is one empty
inittab file, missing inittab file, or wrong entry in inittab file.
4. Check problems with:
/etc/environment file
/bin/sh
/bin/bsh
/etc/fsck
/etc/profile
/.profile
5. Shut down the system and reboot.


本文档列出了从 LED 553 的恢复步骤 . 在 RISC 6000 系统启动的 IPL 过程中, 如果系统不能读取或运行 /etc/inittab 文件, 将会停在 LED 553.要从 LED 553 恢复, 需要检查 /dev/hd3 和 /dev/hd4 的空间问题, 并且删除掉不必要的文件. 检查 /etc/inittab 文件是否被破坏. 如果 inittab 文件未被破坏, 则需要检查 shell profiles, 如 /bin/bsh 文件及其它文件.
