HP 服务器安装SCO OpenServer 说明

安装前需要准备的介质：（以惠普DL 580G2为例）

HP Proliant DL 580G2服务器
随机所带的工具包，包括：
SmartStart光盘
Management光盘
SCO OpenServer 5.0.6 光盘
5张空白软盘

安装前的准备工作：     
将硬件连接好，启动系统后，按“F9”功能键进行Bios配置工具（RBSU ，Rom Based System Utility）
ü         在“System Configuration”中选择“OS Selection”，选择“others”。
ü         在“Boot Controller Device List”中，选择相应的启动设备。本次配置选择“Smart Array 5i Raid Controller”，确保启动设备正常。
按”F8”进入ORCA工具配置阵列。
ü         两块硬盘默认为RAID 1。
ü         保存配置退出。

1. 先制作EFS 软盘5张。
从惠普网站获得最新的EFS （Compaq Extended Feature Supplement）驱动程序。

ü         下载一个可执行文件到本地硬盘。
ü         展开该文件到5张软盘。第四张软盘为BTLD启动软盘。请注意屏幕提示。将文件做好标记。
Compaq EFS x.xx Update Diskette 1 （x.xx为版本号）
Compaq EFS x.xx Update Diskette 2
Compaq EFS x.xx Update Diskette 3
BTLD Diskette 4
Dos Bootable Document Diskette 5

整个的安装说明可以在第5张软盘中的Readme.txt文件中找到.
原文如下:

SCO OpenServer Release 5.0.6

NOTE : When doing a fresh installation of SCO OpenServer 5.05 or 5.06 on top of an OpenServer 5.05 or 5.06 system, or OpenServer 5.06 top of an existing OpenServer 5.0.5 system, the installation process hangs with the following install progress message screen.
"Please wait while your SCSI disks are configured into the kernel". To workaround this issue, include "scsi.noscan" in the bootstring. For more details, refer to incident 111523 on Caldera web site.

Boot using the SCO 5.0.6 installation CD
      At the Boot prompt, type in:

defbootstr link=ad160 hd=Sdsk Sdsk=ad160(0,0,0,0) Srom=wd(0,0,0) scsi.noscan

      At the prompt, "Please insert the fd(60)ad160 volume and press ,or `q' to quit:" (Insert the BTLD diskette of EFS 5.50 and press  to continue)
   
After few minutes the following message is displayed:
       Driver  apparently should be replaced with the new driver "ad160". Replacing a driver may result in a kernel  which does not work.
Please enter
       'r' if you wish to try replacement
       'a' if you want to use block and character major 9[default], which block and character major number (0-100) to use('?' to list), or 'q' to quit:

Choose 'r' for replacement.

      Follow normal Install Procedures as outlined in the SCO Manual.    For the install Method, choose the Preserve option so that the System Partition is maintained and also to allow access to the full capacity of the hard drive. SCO 5.0.6 defaults to Primary Slave device. If your IDE CDROM drive is configured as Primary Master, then select the CDROM as Primary Master.

      Follow instructions until the installation is complete.

      Install other OS supplements and packages before installing    the EFS (See section 5). Go into custom and select Software.    Then choose "Install" followed by "New Product" to install the    EFS. Follow the directions pertaining to your setup.
                                         
SCO OpenServer Release 5.0.5

    Boot using the BTLD Installation Supplement (OSS604a).
    At the Boot prompt, type in:

    defbootstr link=ad160 hd=Sdsk Srom=wd(0,0,0) scsi.noscan

    At the prompt, "Please insert the fd(60)ad160 volume and press ,or `q' to quit:" (Insert the BTLD diskette of EFS 5.50 and press  to continue)

    Insert Original boot floppy, and press  to continue

    when prompted (If booting from OpenServer 5.0.5 Boot diskette). Follow normal Install Procedures as outlined in the SCO Manual. 注: BTLD(oss604a)软盘就是SCO OpenServer5.0.6安装启动软盘. fd(60) ad160软盘就是前面创建的EFS软盘中的第四张软盘.

2. BOOT串的输入
放入SCO OpenServer 5.0.6 光盘在出现引导符  "boot:" 时键入

defbootstr link=ad160 hd=Sdsk Srom=wd(0,0,0)

若带有RAID,则改为（本次DL 580G2采用）:
defbootstr link=ciss hd=Sdsk Srom=wd(0,0,0)  ^
                                                                                                                 
倘若出现内存不够错误报警时, 则需要在 ”^” 处添加如下字符串(系统不能自动识别大内存所致): “mem=1m-16m,16m-1024m/n ”  (1024m是当前内存大小)

3. 安装时可能有的问题
对于在5.0.6或5.0.5系统上采用refesh方式,或在原有5.0.5上重新安装5.0.6时,系统会挂住, 屏幕显示 "Please wait while your SCSI disks are configured into the kernel". 为了解决该问题,需要在启动字符串中加入” scsi.noscan”.
4.  加载SCSI/RAID卡驱动
当出现fd(65) 需要插入EFS 软盘第四张加载阵列卡的驱动. 没有阵列卡时, 出现插入fd(60), 插入EFS第四张加载SCSI控制器的驱动.
5. 安装SCO OpenServer系统
按照屏幕提示安装完系统。
6. 系统补丁
ü         在SCO 的网站上下载SCO OpenServer5.05 的补丁"505a" --

拷贝VOL.000.000~VOL.003.000 到/tmp 下,用  custom --> software-->install new-->media image-->/tmp  安装505a
ü         对于SCO 5.0.6, 需要安装oss648a, 支持多处理器. 从SCO 网站可以获得：

7. 安装EFS安装网卡驱动
安装完其他系统补丁包, 最后安装EFS中的软件. 用custom --> software-->install new-->Floppy Disk-->插入EFS第一张软盘, 安装EFS. 配置网卡。
可以只安装网卡驱动，减少系统资源的占用。
8. 重建内核，启动机器。
在以上安装完之前，建议不要重起机器。

ü         Install the SCO Unix OpenServer 5.0.5
ü         Install the SMP
ü         Install DS
ü         Install RS505A

总结：
由于SCOOpenServer 5.0.5对于P4及P4以上处理器不提供支持，建议升级到SCO OpenServer 5.0.6。OpenServer 5.0.6向下兼容，以前的大多数应用不需要修改可以直接运行。对于使用OpenServer 5.0.5造成的任何后果，惠普公司概不负责。
