As FE ( Field Engineer ) based in Shenzhen, who are responsible for providing system supporting
that includes hardware, software and networking to customers through on-site services or remote
supporting, for high level customer satisfaction through the effective service delivery and good communication.
Major Activities/Responsibilities
--------------------------------------------
- Provide postsales on-site and telephone system support to Sun's customers
- Responsible for installation, maintaining and trouble-shooting for Sun Server, Storage and Software
- Using call management tool to update the service activities.
- Require 7x24 on-site support delivery
- Customer communication
- Customer coaching and training
- Involve in project coordination and implementation
- Provide mission-critical support service to customers
Qualifications
----------------------
- University graduate in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent working experience
- At least 1 years UNIX support engineer experience
- Strong knowledge in Solaris or with Sun technical certification is preferred
- Good communication skills

SUMMARY
UNIX generalist responsible for providing system support that includes hardware, software, software applications and networking to customers and field personnel onsite, local or inside/outside of the area or via telephone support. Provide a high level of customer satisfaction through effective delivery of technical support and service programs. Additionally, must be able to demonstrate skilled or advanced knowledge in a minimum of two disciplines. (Hardware, OS, Storage and Networks.)
MAJOR ACTIVITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide after salesl onsite and telephone system support to Sun customers.
Assist in ensuringl Services provided meet Customer Satisfaction goals.
Will be required to bel available for 7x24 on-call rotation duty and or pre-organised overtime schedules.
Act as an interface between customers and CSC/SC/PTS/CTEl engineers, using Call Management tools to update all involved parties of activities.
Performs installation Services on supported products, patchesl and software.
Assist in conducting onsite technical account reviews.l
l Support Service Account Managers on problem incident reviews.
Providel customer or partner coaching and training.
DESIRABLE TECHNICAL SKILLS
High-end Sun Storage Product Supports, 99xx storages experiences
Solaris / Networking / Sun Volume Manager / Veritas / Sun Cluster / English (Reading an d writing)
QUALIFICATIONS
Typically requires a BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent and a minimum of 4-5 years of UNIX or related experience or a Masters Degree plus 3 years of related experience.
