when you configure your DS4000 with the storage manager software,
the DS4000 subsystme implementation of RAID1 is basically a combination of RAID1 and RAID10,
depending on the number of drives selected.

if only two drives are selected,
RAID1 is implemented.

if you selected four or more drives,
RAID10 is automatically configured .


your four disks ,not RAID1 ,but RAID10.

Please read the detail information on the DS4000 redbook .

非常感谢，但我手头没有红皮书，所以再请问个问题---按照您的说法，4块盘的时候会自动做成RAID 10 ，那么会不会自动做成RAID 01  ？

two disks for user data,and two disks for the mirrored data.

感谢回帖，不过我17楼的问题是：4块盘的时候，会做成RAID 10 还是 RAID 01 ，即先镜像后条带，还是先条带后镜像，还是可选？
