Title: Software Design Engineer-00000930   Location: BJ Description    1. To carry out the assigned tasks and report progress to the R&D Head. 2. Comply with and follow the directives, instructions and procedures implemented in the R&D Center. 3. To support the R&D or HW manager in the task to ensure that the HW design activities fulfill the needs within the R&D Center in an efficient way. 4. Recommend new technical solutions 5. The tasks of the SW Engineer include participation in one or more of the following: 6. Responsible to ensure quality of the deliverables (products, processes and services) from the job assigned covering system design to End-user documentation 7. Participate in technical co-ordination teams, when applicable. 8. Attend technical seminars. 9. Participate in pre-studies, ensuring transfer of applicable knowledge.    Qualifications 1. University degree in CS, EE, Telecom or equivalent 2. Excellent knowledge of Communication systems and their design 3. Understanding of the Telecom market and its players 4. Good communication skills and social ability. 5. Excellent teamwork and cooperation spirit, both professional and personal integrity, proactive and positive learning attitude 6. Well organised, flexible and professional 7. Fluent in English speaking and writing. 8. At least 3 years of relevant experience in a relevant technical areas; e.g. Transmission networks (SDH, Metro Ethernet MEF etc) or IP Access Aggregation (Ethernet Switching, Routing, QoS etc), with proven industry experience. 9. Experience with SW development in these languages: C(Mandatory), C++ 10. Experience with SW embedded dev. environment: Linux (Prefered), VxWorks 11. Experience with embedded HW design on at least one of these platforms: MIPS, PPC (prefered), ARM 12. Experience in at least one of the following areas: Routing, L2 & L3 Ethernet Switching, SDH, NG-SDH, Network Management, SNMP, TCP/IP Protocol Stack.
