Job Description:
We are looking for motivated software development engineers to join us. Your responsibilities will cover module design, implementation and unit and functional test as well as test automation activities. You co-operate closely with verification team to ensure software quality and to make the product development work more effective. You will work in projects as part of Chengdu R&D team using modern agile and iterative software development processes.
Requirements:

Knowledge of Linux or other UNIX-like operating system.

Knowledge of J2EE, C++ or Java programming languages.
·
Object oriented programming (Java) skills.
·
Knowledge of database.
·
Knowledge of GPRS network.
·
Knowledge of version control tools, such as ClearCase.

The Chengdu product development teams are using Agile methods in their R&D work. SCM plays a very important role in Agile, enabling the efficient SW change management and frequent SW builds (both scheduled and on-demand). Effective software configuration management improves development productivity and promotes a healthy, team-oriented culture that produces better software.

We are looking for engineers for SCM (Software Configuration Management) to join our R&D team in Chengdu, China.

You are responsible for developing and maintaining the software development environment based on Clearcase, SVN and other SW management tools for our products. Your main tasks include setting up software development environments, SCM configuration, SCM planning, makefile maintenance.

The work is organized in project teams, which have a close co-operation. The teams located on other oversea NSN (Nokia Siemens Network) sites will be highly involved, and this adds the international nature to the position. Fluent international communication is needed; therefore good language skills are very important.

Your main task will be to set up a testing environment and maintain a verification environment for testing of OSS (operation support system) for Chengdu R&D programs. This involves software installations, installation automation improvement and testing support. This task is a very challenge work! You will be the expert in HP blade hardware, Linux OS, perl script and Linux shell. Beside that, some knowledge on IP work will be gained in your daily work.
