POSITION SUMMARY
As a member of the supplier quality engineering team, she/he will assist the senior supplier quality engineers in measuring and sustaining process capability for production processes required to support the products. Elements of such capability will include: sustaining review of the supplier's quality management system and improvements activities, acquisition and analysis of supplier in-process data including output, yields and overall performance evaluation and assessment of process capability. Specific responsibilities will include: follow up with the suppliers and update on quality issue trackers and other quality documents, monitor suppliers production yield and process capability data, sharing production quality analysis report with suppliers, maintain supplier quality engineering database, generate related reports from company production database, obtain production yield data from company's EMS partners, etc.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Material Science or related field. 3 years of experience in consumer electronics plastics/metal injection molding, metal stamping, die casting, painting and assembly processes including IMD and NCVM technologies. Must be motivated, autonomous and a highly driven individual. Strong interpersonal skills. Articulate verbal communication, writing and negotiating skills in both English and Chinese. Must be comfortable dealing with external suppliers. Must be willing to travel. Very familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and MS Project. Basic knowledge on Oracle and SAP is required. Wireless handheld, mobile phone or automotive industry experience highly desired.
