Tellabs的市场主要在北美，所以在中国知名度不高，它是AT&T，Verizon等几大运营商的主要设备提供商，在北美还是混得相当不错的。 这次open的几个部门以后都是公司重点发展的领域，前景还是不错的，其中MAS目前只有一个team，主要从芬兰transfer过来的项目；Transport是这边的一个大部门，也是Tellabs最强的产品之一，利润也最高；ADP部门刚成立的新部门，主要招硬件人员。

Job expectations include Shanghai design team contributor in new module and HW C/R effort related to optical modules of various types. Responsibilities in detail design; circuit design, schematic work, reviewing designs, component selection, device characterization and validation along with creating manufacturing test solution development. Candidate need to be able to manage supplier companies. This individual can also get involved in product Support effort; analyze field failures, manufacturing yield problems and corrective action.

Job Description:
-        The selected candidate for this position will be a member of the Tellabs HW team in Shanghai.  This position is a key role in a multidiscipline team consisting of Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Thermal Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Test Engineers, and PCB Designers, that work together in a fast paced dynamic interactive environment to efficiently create the design of telecommunications equipment.
-        The individual will perform mechanical design work to develop new mechanical components or correct defects in and reduce the manufacturing cost of released products.  The work will involve collaborating with other members of the mechanical design team, the product development group, and the supply chain organization to identify the requirements for new components or identify issues with components that need to be changed.  The work will include reviewing existing product designs to identify system requirements that must be met and to identify components that could be redesigned to reduce piece part or assembly costs, create the design using CAD software, perform engineering analysis to ensure that the design will meet the performance requirements of the product, generate drawings to document the design, and evaluate the prototype samples to ensure compliance to requirements. This individual may also get involved in product Support effort; analyze field failures, manufacturing yield problems and other identified corrective actions.

Requirements:
-        Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in mechanical design.  
-        Experience using ProE software for mechanical design is required.  
-        The individual must have excellent verbal and written English communication skills.  
-        Must be able to succinctly communicate their project status and provide accurate estimates of the effort required to finish a project.
-        Must have excellent teamwork and problem resolution skills.   
-        Experience with the mechanical design of central office based telecommunications equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities include lab daily management; soldering support; repair prototype PCBA; components and equipment order; storage management and other HW associate jobs. Candidate will be involved in HW daily product development and provide support to all HW engineers

Requirements:

-        Master soldering skill for BGA and other kinds of chipsets

2.        Take charge of large FPGA design in optics transmission equipment;
3.        Work in IP, Ethernet, SDH/SONET area FPGA design;
4.        Take part in the architecture definition, implementation and verification phases;
5.        Detailed design specification and test plan development. Develop and implement block level RTL, perform synthesis and achieve timing closure.

Requirements:
6.        Minimum 5 yrs FPGA/ASIC verification experience in the R&D of Telecommunication Networks or Communication industry;
7.        Complete understanding of the FPGA/ASIC design flow and process;
