SCO5.0.7USB2.0移动硬盘安装讨论

最近在VMWARE workstation6.5+SCO5.0.7上反复试多硬盘(wd,blc,usb_msto)安装.
mkdev hd
usb硬盘
0,0,0,0

无论MP5装与不装,关闭2.0支持后,
fdisk -f /dev/rdsk/1s0
能访问;
打开2.0支持,
fdisk -f /dev/rdsk/1s0
访问不了.

不同的usb口,id号不同,要试:
0,1,0,0
0,2,0,0

哪位成功安装usb2.0移动硬盘的,介绍一下经验.

看它的说明文档osr507mp5.txt,似孚是增强了USB支持能力,能支持usb调制解调器及USB串口设备了,没有提到usb2.0硬盘:

      Enhanced USB support

Maintenance Pack 5 includes an enhanced USB driver that supports both
USB modems and serial adapters. The driver adds support for USB modems
that conform to the CDC/ACM specification. Written to the to the Uniform
Driver Interface (UDI) specification, the new driver includes a number
of fixes that improve performance and device support. In addition:

    * The giomap_noded(ADM) utility now manages device nodes for USB
      serial devices. giomap_noded also creates links in /dev/usb
      for each host controller instance (HCI) detected. These links are
      named usbprobe#.

    * The usbprobe(ADM) utility now handles multiple HCIs. The
      usbprobe -A command finds all sequentially enumerated HCIs and
      displays the devices attached.

SCO OpenServer Release 5.0.7 Maintenance Pack 4 included the following
bug fixes:
......
    * USB devices attached to an EHCI controller sometimes would get a
      message logged to the console, Device reset timeout during
      enumeration!, even though the USB driver would automatically
      recover from the timeout. The driver was fixed to eliminate the
      unnecessary message.

Maintenance Pack 1 included the following bug fixes:

    * Fixed a panic that occurred when booting a system with SMP
      installed. The panic occurred most commonly in *kmem_alloc*()
      while the /etc/sysdump -qi /dev/swap -o /dev/swap command was
      running in a different process. Typically, this problem was
      encountered on systems with large swap areas (around 2.5GB) and
      the usb_ohci driver enabled.

删除多余硬盘：

root在IDE盘上
测试时增加了SCSI硬盘blc(0,0,0,0)及移动硬盘usb_msto(0,0,0,0)
再增加IDE硬盘时报错,3s0(或hd30)找不到.

/etc/conf/cf.d/mscsi文件中删除Sdsk=blc(0,0,0,0)及Sdsk=usb_msto(0,0,0,0)

/etc/conf/cf.d/hdlist保留
0 /etc/conf/node.d/hd 0
删除两行含hd的多余的行

/etc/conf/cf.d/sysRegistry删除Sdsk0及Sdsk1的行(注:如果主盘不是IDE硬盘,而是SCSI硬盘,则要保留Sdsk0,也就是说要与mscsi中SCSI硬盘个数一致)

sed '/hd1/d;/1s/d;/hd2/d;/2s/d' /etc/node.d/hd >/tmp/hd
cp /etc/conf/node.d/hd /tmp/hd.备份
cp /tmp/hd /etc/conf/node.d/hd
mv /etc/conf/node.d/Sdsk /tmp/Sdsk.备份

重连内核:
/etc/conf/cf.d/link_unix
重启动后mdev hd增加IDE硬盘成功了.

有时拷贝个文件后 就找不到U盘了

需要重新插拔U盘
