[Closed] [ Solaris 10 ] Why I cannot use talk command?

I install the os in vmware and login in using root account.

then I login in from my own OS using test account.

I find each other using command who -H.

However, I use talk 192.168.9.10 or talk username or talk username@hostname, all does not work.

And I have set mesg y yet.

Who can help me or give me a tip?

首先使用talk命令你的2个机器的体系结构必须一样。

另外，不能使用报的错误信息是什么。

This Solaris 10 is installed in vmware and users login in using a tool named "Putty".

I've resolved the problem.
I've make a mistake when setting domainname.
I set domainname as HAHA and it brought this problem.
When I set it as HAHA.com and then using "talk username@HAHA.com", It works! :wink:

Anyway, thanks a lot for all guys' attention.
I am playing in Solaris now, Surely I will meet a lot of problem, please kindly give me some help.

you may try to add an suffix .com behind your hostname in file /etc/hosts
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx hostname xxx.com

I'm not sure if it's works.
