近期在客户这边发现Domino时间与操作系统时间不一致,导致用户使用起来有误解,后来发现是产品的一个BUG.找800拿到一个补丁可以解决
Domino time jumps forward and then backward
![]()
Technote (troubleshooting)
Problem
A Lotus® Domino® server runs on an AIX® platform. You observe that the Domino time shifts forward periodically. In most cases, the time then shifts backward shortly after. This shift can be observed in various log entries. You may also notice that certain key time values in a Notes® database are in the future, which can lead to documents not appearing in views and folders, and can cause databases to not replicate. You may also, for example, observe cases where a reply memo has a time stamp earlier than the original memo.
The issue does not appear to be relative to the execution of any particular Domino task.
Symptom
The following example shows a server log that demonstrates the problem:

The Domino server is functional, but the time jump can impact tasks such as agent or program document execution time, or the incorrect times can prevent accurate data from being collected from the log for reporting purposes.

Environment
Domino server running on an IBM AIX operating system
Resolving the problem
The issue where Domino time jumps forward and then backward has been reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# TFER6BPKSX and RBEE6RNKUZ and was initially fixed in Domino 8.0, Domino 7.0.2, Domino 6.5.6, and Domino 6.5.5 Fix Pack 2 (FP2). However, a subsequent investigation discovered that the fix is incomplete. The complete fix is in Domino 8.0.2 and Domino 7.0.4 (documented under SPR#
TFER6BPKSX
).
Note: A number of customers have reported that, in addition to the fix above, upgrading their AIX firmware to SF240_320 (or later) has resolved this issue.
Supporting Information
The issue where Domino time jumps forward at startup but does not shift backward has been reported separately to Quality Engineering as SPR# RNOG6PAR4W; however, at this time this behavior has been attributed to the earlier issue noted in SPR# TFER6BPKSK, and the report of SPR# RNOG6PAR4W has been closed as a duplicate issue. If upgrading to a fixed release or updating the AIX firmware does not resolve the problem, then report the issue to IBM Lotus Support.
Note for R5 users: A similar issue was reported against Domino releases 4.6x and 5.x and resolved in Domino 5.0.12 and Domino 6.0. Refer to
"Time Jumps Forward on AIX Following Upgrade when Loading Replica or Amgr Tasks" (1108548)
