Job Responsibilities


1.Lead or assist in the deployment of System x or BladeCenter environments.
2.Assist in the assessment, planning, design and implmentation of server consolidation projects that have one or more of the following target environments: W2003 SE/DCE, Windows XP, Linux.
3. Be able to plan and perform the installation of the System x or Bladecenter hardware components, operating systems on a customer's IBM x/Bladecenter solution.
4: Be able to deliver or assist in the following:   
      Conduct/Assist in a Planning Session to gather information and plan the implementation.
      Perform basic operating system installations.
    Perform basic configuration of BladeCenter IO modules
    Install and configure systems management components
    Provide skills transfer for basic administrative operations
    Deliver system documentation   
    Install a supported Microsoft or Linux operating system and configure basic networking.


Job Requirements (skills/experience/language skills)


Technical Skills:

• Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting Intel and/or AMD processor-based blade servers
• Virtualization Experience: VMWare, MS Virtual Server 2008
• 3 Years Operationg System Experience: in one or more of  Linux, RedHat, SUSE.                                                              
• IBM BladeCenter and related options
• IBM DS3000/4000 Storage Server products and the other components used in IBM SAN Solutions (FC Switches, Hubs, etc.)
• Advanced networking concepts (i.e.: VLAN’s, LACP, STP)

Non-Technical Skills:

Fluent in English(both written and verbal )/ Strong Judgment/ Analytical Ability
Demonstrated positive attitude, must have excellent team working skills

Qualifications (Education/Major/Certificates) )

Bachelors degree,RHCE certification.
Graduate from an institution of repute.
Preferred Degree/Diplomas would include Information Technology; Engineering or Science
