PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The “Partner Services Advisor” (PSA) is the key role in the Global Partner Services Delivery (PSD) organization, present in 4 locations worldwide and covering all global regions.
PSD is providing various services and support to SAP’s partners (Service partners, Resellers, Technology partners), works in close alignment with the field / sales teams and aims at increasing the partner’s business capabilities and productivity.
PSD does so by identifying the capabilities of each partner and, in agreement with the partner, tailoring a capability & service plan that puts the global knowledge and resources of SAP into the hands of the partner. The PSA works very closely with field teams, such as alliance / channel managers, channel marketing, solution teams and support.
The partner types PSD is focused on are:
• Channel VARs for SAP Business All-In-One, SAP Business One, Business Objects
• Channel ISVs
• Software Solution Partners (SSP’s)
• Service Partners (SI’s)
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
• University Degree: Business Administration, Computer Science or equivalent (combination of business and technical education preferred)
• Excellent relationship skills, able to engage with stakeholders and partners to build a strong relationship!
• Capable to organize independent your daily work with your assigned partners
• Ability to transfer business demands in concepts and drive them to execution
• SAP field experience and/or in a support role will be a plus
• Presenting: The PSA should have confidence in presenting to partners using remote technologies such as NetMeeting/SAPconnect. Experience in remote selling or support would be an advantage
• Able to work at all levels in an organization and posses be highly credible both internally and externally
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
• Get to know their designated partners, understand their issues and areas of weakness and tap into the global resources of SAP to assist that partner
• Build the capability of each partner from a technical, commercial and service perspective
• Proactively monitor the partner’s business performance and support their business goals
• Liaise with the associated Partner / Channel Manager to ensure a clear communication plan with (and for) the partner is established
• Identify specific service needs of partners and take responsibility for meeting these needs pro-actively by agreeing and maintaining an ongoing Service Plan
• Ensures ramp up and readiness of partners.
• Contribute to the overall partner experience and thus improve the partner satisfaction
• The PSA orchestrates services and business enablement between SAP and Partners
WORK EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in one of the following (or related) sectors: SAP services (services & consulting), product support, pre-sales, partner management and/or customer relationship role.
• Knowledge and practical experience with at least one SAP solution: SAP Business All-in-One, SAP Business Suite / ECC 6.0 / R/3, Business Objects, SAP-ERP, SAP NetWeaver, Solution Manager.
• Experience in business development for customer and partner services advantageous
• Field exposure to value customer’s expectations (preferably in Service & Support, Consulting, Sales & Pre-sales and/or Field Services).
• Ability to present complex concepts in a clear, concise, and appealing manner.
