Responsibilities
1. Develop and maintain automation framework

3. Develop and maintain test tools on demand
The demands are from Test Engineer. Automation engineer has the passion to improve Test Engineer’s work efficiency by developing useful and powerful tools.
4. Understand the test cases created by Test Engineer (Understand the target product)
Similar as Test Engineer, Automation Engineer is also required to understand the product, to help understand the automation needs.
5. Develop and Debug automated test cases
This is the main job for Automation Engineer, get test cases from Test Engineer and automate them. Automation rate is based on this job.
6. Analyze run result and fix test issue (open product defects)
Automation Engineer is responsible for fixing the test issue (automation bug) that makes automation test failed where product works as expected. This is the most challengeable job to provide reliable automation test case.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor/Master degree in computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, or computer engineering related.
2. At least 3 years of experience in software development with two or more of the following tools: C#, C++, .NET, Java, SQL, XML. Web service develop experience is plus.
3. Familiar with common test tools, VSTS/QTP/QC is preferred.
4. Be able to develop technical and architectural specification for automation harnesses or tools
5. Understand how to design test cases to minimize the need for manual analysis of test output
6. Participate in root cause analysis for defects and provides process improvement suggestions to eliminate future occurrences of similar defects.
7. Must have good written and verbal communication skills, be detail oriented, self-motivated, and work well in a team environment.
