1. Senior software engineer       Number: Several
Job Description:
Lead requirement definition, feature design, coding, testing, system integration, documentation and maintenance of Media Gateway subsystem.
       Collaborate with other internal and external product development teams.
       Provide professional support for the customer support engineers.
Education:
       BS/MS in EE/CS or equivalent  
Skill Requirements:
       BS 5+, MS 3+ years of development engineering experience in telecommunications is required
Strong experience in RTOS (pSOS, VxWorks, etc.), UNIX, and C/C++ is required
Hands-on development experience with one or multiple of the following standards and protocols: H.248/MEGACO, SIP, SIGTRAN.    Class 4/Class 5 call processing experience is a Plus.
A strong background in IP technologies is a MUST, Experience in protocol development such as Layer2 protocol (PPP, HDLC, LAPD, etc.), Layer3 protocol (OSPF, RIP, etc.).
Understanding of SNMP, SS7, Sigtran protocols is desired.
Understanding of VoIP, wireless and wireline technologies, network architecture and related applications is desired
Experience in developing high availability systems is required
       Strong understanding and experience with formal software development processes is required
       Formal development environment experience (source code management, bug and problem tracking, release packaging and load building) is required
       Good written/oral English is required

2. Integration test engineer      Number: Several
Job Description:
Be responsible for requirement review, test plan, feature integration test list, test case/scripts preparation and execution of Signaling Gateway and Media Gateway integration testing in the next generation network. Take strong responsibility for variable testing items.
Education:
BS/MS in EE/CS or equivalent
Skill Requirements:
3+ years software development/test experience in telecom is required, preferably 5+ years in the wireless telecom industry.
Fluency of written and read English is required.
Applicant must be capable of unsupervised work and must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work in a team environment.
Knowledge and/or experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred:
- Class 4 call processing
- Class 5 call processing
- SS7, SIGTRAN
- GSM
- UMTS (Iu, Nb and Mc interfaces)
- CDMA (or SCDMA)
- MEGACO (H.24
- VoIP (RTP/RTCP)
- ATM (PVC/SVC, UNI, PNNI)
- Test tools (K1297, INET, etc.)

3. SBC software engineer     Number: Several
Job Description:
Participates in the design, coding and testing efforts for telecommunications software applications. This position will work on team activities including product system engineering and architecture, as well as assisting in the definition of embedded software architectures (system, user, control and management plane.)
Job Requirements:
This software engineering position will be a part of the CODC development team working on GENBAND's Security products.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
7-10 years embedded software development experience in a telecommunications environment, including 3-4 as lead developer and/or system architect
Deep understanding of VoIP specs, VoIP industry trends and network architecture
Experience should include having taken a product through the entire life cycle.
Strong knowledge of linux/unix/C based development preferred; embedded software development experience and C++ are a plus
Strong knowledge of telephony signaling protocols, such as SIP, H.248, MGCP, Wireline and/or Wireless protocols; any prior experience with H.248 is a huge plus
Write system, functional and design specification documents
Ability to perform in multi-process/multi-tasking and/or real time environment
Ability to perform under aggressive deadlines and work closely with teams located in different parts of the world
Experienced with fault tolerance and high availability system designs
Good written and verbal communication skills
Good collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team environment
       Preferred Education:
Masters in CS or comparable

4. EMS soft Engineer       Number: Several
Job Description:
As a member of the development team, will be responsible for the software design, development and Maintenance of EMS (Element Management System).
      Duties of the Position:
         Participate in all phases of the development cycle, including feature definition, design, coding, testing, system integration, documentation, and support.
         Collaboration with other internal and external product development teams is expected so complete solutions are provided.
Education:
BS/MS in EE/CS or equivalent
Skill Requirements:
4+ years of development engineering experience
2+ years of element management system or related telecom software development experience
Network Element Management System knowledge
Good software development skills with Java
Good written/oral English
Strong understanding and experience with software development processes
Understanding of SNMP protocols
Java architecture skill set is required
C++ project experience is required
Solid database application development experience
Familiar with UNIX and scripts is a plus
Sharp and willing to take challenge
Good communications skills
CLI knowledge is a plus
Corba knowledge is a plus

5. Technical Support Engineer       Number: Several
    Position Summary:
The Technical Service Engineer provides technical support primarily to Customers and secondarily to Installation and Field Verification teams.
Works with minimal to no supervision. Performs all aspects of problem solving assignments.
This person will utilize advanced debugging of various telecommunication protocols an IP Networks.
Position may require supervising/mentoring 1 or more Technical Support Engineers on a project level.
A24 X7 technical support organization requiring after hours, weekend and holiday work along with on-call responsibilities.
Selected engineer will reside and work out of GENBAND- Shanghai, China office.
  Key Responsibilities:
       Responsible for the achievement of the goals for a project through effective people skills
       Manage Customer (cases) and report generation.
       Oversee the patch application and upgrade process at a customers site.
       Conduct mentoring and peer training of other Technical Support engineers.
       Performs an active leadership role during the normal course of business
       Plan and coordinate customer project activities, ensures customers take action on project and participate in customer conference calls.
       Write reports which will details the problems and indicate corrective actions required to avoid future occurrences.
   Key Relationships:
Influences and acts as a mentor to peers, colleagues and customers.
Expected to be a team leader for a Customer
Interface regularly with the customer.
Internal relationships usually to senior TSEs and Department Manager
External relationships usually to Operating Company site technicians and occasionally manager.
Decision Making Authority:
       Makes decisions that reflect a supervisory role
       Any decisions presented are accepted as technically accurate, feasible and consistent with the goals and objectives of the organization.
       Successfully influences customer groups to meet customer requirements.
Problem Solving Responsibility:
       Receives only broad technical guidance from peers and manager
       Receives only broad managerial guideline
       Frequently resolves technical Customer problems of a complex nature which often requires in-depth analysis and advanced technical knowledge.
    Utilize innovative methods and solutions to resolve customer issues.
   General Skills Criteria:
Perform skills criteria successfully of all lower level Technical Support Engineers and also the following:
   LEADERSHIP:
       Be able to prioritize issues and put actions in place to resolve.
       Interface with senior level TSEs to escalate issues so they are resolved in a timely manner, management on occasions.
       Provide mentoring to junior-level TSEs on achieving the required tasks to complete a Project on time.
Typical Candidate:
       Extensive experience in trouble shooting and debugging techniques
       Good knowledge of the various telecommunication protocols and external test equipment.
       Minimum 5 years experience as a TSE engineer or equivalent.
Other Skills/Product Knowledge:
       Demonstrated overall system and software expertise
    Effective interaction with customer contacts
       Tactful and courteous in consulting with others
       Strong English writing skills
       Fluent in English language
Solid background in IP networks
       CCNA or other IP certifications are a plus
Formal Education and Training:
       Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and related experience


6.Media Gateway/Call Server Test Engineer      Number: Several
Job Responsibility:
As a member of CODC test team, he will be responsible for system test for media gateway and call server products.
Qualifications:
Requires BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years software development/test experience. Fluency for written and read English is required. Oral English is also required.
Applicant must be capable of unsupervised work and must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work in a team environment.
   Knowledge and/or experience in one or more of the following areas are preferred:

7. EMS Test Engineer     Number: Several
      -Familiar with Element Management System Testing   
      -Familiar with DB and SQLs
-Familiar with Unix/Linux Environment.
-Knowledge about Telecom products and protocols.     
-Familiar with unix shell scripts,Perl, TCL/TK etc.
    -Experience with Java Swing based performance testing, tuning is a plus     
    -Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.     
    -Must be highly motivated, self-driven, and have the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
    -Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Education and Experience:
-Bachelors/Masters Computer Science
-5+ years relevant experience

8. VOIP System Test Engineer    Number: Several
The System Test Engineer will be responsible for the verification and stability testing of VoIP and related products.
      Tasks:
        Develop test strategies and procedures for design verification of VoIP route engine, configuration tool, and network status and reporting system
        Develop documentation of validation and regression test plans and procedures.
        Perform features, functions, stability, and regression testing of products.
        Design, implement, and manage lab configurations to emulate network topologies
        Coordinate testing activities with the rest of the test team as well as with the developers
        Assist in reproduction of customer issues
        Provide feedback to developers to improve the usability of the products
        Test Automation
Qualifications:
        Working knowledge of VoIP protocols (SIP and/or H.323) and Telephony (ISDN/T1).
        Strong in scripting languages; Shell script, TCL, PERL, etc
        Minimum of 5 years of System test experience.
        Strong written and oral communication skills.
        Self motivated and work well in a team environment.
        Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP and networking related protocols.
        Ability to use network protocol analyzers for troubleshooting and analysis of networking and VoIP issues.
        Hands-on experience with Unix/Solaris/Linux OS
        B.S. or above in related major.
Other desirable requirements:
        Hands on Cisco switch, router, and VoIP products experience
        Database experience with MySQL
        Experienced in developing automated test scripts
        Hands on experience with firewalls, DHCP, and DNS servers..
