Solution
Discovering WebLogic
1. Discover the IP object of the server hosting WebLogic using an ICMP pattern.
2. Discover a host object for this IP by running the SNMP_NET_Dis_Connection pattern on this IP object or using server logic to manually create hosts.
3. Discover an IPSERVER object for this host by running TCP_NET_Dis_Port (target the host object).
Note:
If WebLogic is running on a port other than 7001 (default port), you will need to:
# Add entries to portNumberToPortName.xml (root\lib\collectors\discoveryManager\serverData) that describe each port to which your WebLogic server may be listening.
# Change the Discovery TQL, weblogic_ports, which must also reflect this change.
# Edit the ipserver_2 object to include an attribute for any additional port numbers to which WebLogic can be listening.
4. Run the JMX_J2EE_Weblogic_Connection pattern on the host object to discover the WebLogic instance. This will create a J2EE server object. (Verify that the correct user credentials are specified in the Domain Configuration.)
5. On the J2EE server object, run the JMX_J2EE_Weblogic pattern that will discover details of the WebLogic server.
