Title Software Test and Automation Engineer
Location Shang-Hai
Position Software test and test tool development engineer
Level Specialist level
Responsibilities
1. Execute functional/regression test procedures, using established templates and guidelines. Working closely with other testers and R&D developers in test design, problem reproduce and trouble shooting.
2. Design test plan and test case.
3. Execute test and analyze result.
4. Configure and maintain test environment.
5. Optimize and automate test process.
6. Based on test plan and analysis of engineering requirements, design and implement automated solutions of products testing. Should be able to abstract and create test cases to simulate real-world scenarios.
7. Develop testing tools for verifying and testing products, provide configure programs as well as participate in overall product testing activities.
8. Maintain test tools.
9. Keep in reporting test status every week and good communication with test lead in US.
Requirements
Required:
1. BSCS or MSCS, or equivalence is required.
2. Good fundamental knowledge on computer science.
3. 3+ year experience in coding development, such as Shell/Perl/Expect/Python/C/C++/Java programming with design, implementation, coding, debugging and troubleshooting skills.
4. Experience with Unix/Linux OS general knowledge such as OS installation, networking configures, storage management, system maintenance and hands on experiences.
5. Good communication in both Chinese and English.
6. Full understanding of SQA methodologies, process & documentation, have quality assurance skills in bug isolation, bug reporting, and troubleshooting.
7. 1+ year of experience on virtual machine (HPVM/VMWare/Hyper-V) testing/management/administration/trouble-shooting
Advanced:
1. Experience in Linux/Unix server maintenance & trouble-shooting.
2. Understanding Linux/Unix networking and network components (like NFS, IPFilter, BIND, FTP and other INet components) .
3. Knowledge on HPUX/Storage.
4. Java & Expect programming skills.
5. Having general understanding of object-oriented principles and design concepts as well as the ability to apply them in solving real problems.
