我在红帽下安装没有问题
在Fedora linux下安装就遇到了这个问题
在网上查看资料说是sybase与操作系统的glib版本的
关系，glib2.4以上的版本都会出这样的问题，建议设置
LD_POINTER_GUARD环境变量，我设置了建立服务
仍然是这个问题，设置成0或者1都不起作用

个人以前在fedora 6上装过SYBASE，那是一个痛苦的经历，其实Fedora是针对桌面用户的。如果不是别的什么要求，还是装RedHat as服务器版要好些！

貌似也只能如此了。。。下午去刻红帽的安装盘。这个问题很纠结。不能再纠结下去了。。

貌似不是这个包缺失的问题

以前的一个贴子也是关于linux上创建sybase服务时报segmentation fault这个错误的。

是这个帖子：  srvbuildres -r sqlsrv.res 失败, 是何原因啊? http://bbs.chinaunix.net/viewthr ... p;extra=&page=1

在他的问题中，报sh: line 1:  9580 Segmentation fault，与你的sh: line 1:  6967 Segmentation fault  有些不同。

Adaptive Server 需要以下变量设置：
?        对于 glibc 2.4 版，将 LD_POINTER_GUARD 设置为 1
?        对于 glibc 2.5 版，将 LD_POINTER_GUARD 设置为 0

你的这个情况设置成 LD_POINTER_GUARD = 0；应该是对的。 你有没有试过， LD_POINTER_GUARD = 1 好使不？
