现有一台HCM6.1.2 因有新的POWER6 的小机安装，想升级到7，下了一个7.1HMC_Recovery_V7R710光盘，在升级时报hmc version on harddisk connot be upgraded to this version,请6.1.2升级到7最低版本是多少，在那儿有得下。

Upgrading the HMC from 6.1.2 or 6.1.3 to Version 7.3.2

Prerequisites:
1.        If the HMC manages any POWER5 system(s), the firmware on the server(s) must be at SF240_299 or later. If any system is pre-SF240_299, do the following
a) Upgrade the HMC to 6.1.3.
Refer to Rochester Support Center knowledgebase document 449632639, upgrading the HMC to Version 6.1.3.
b) Upgrade the server firmware.
To update server firmware from SF240_219 or later concurrently, refer to Rochester Support Center knowledgebase document 478987564, Server Firmware - Concurrent Update to SF240_338.

To upgrade server firmware from EC level SF235 or earlier to latest code level, refer to Rochester Support Center knowledgebase document 478908774, Server Firmware - Disruptive Upgrade to SF240_338.
2.        Contact your sales representative to order the no-cost feature code 0962. This is not required for the actual upgrade; however, it notifies IBM that the HMC will be updated and places an order for the recovery DVDs.

Note: Only Version 6.1.2 and later can be upgraded to 7.3.2.

Download and burn HMC .iso images or obtain HMC media from IBM
Download the HMC V7.3.2.0 recovery DVD 1.iso and 2.iso, burn the images to DVDs.

Save Upgrade Data and Upgrade HMC to 7.3.2 (from Recovery Media)
A Save Upgrade Data task must first be done to preserve information on the HMC before performing the upgrade. You must upgrade immediately after the Save Upgrade Data task. If you restart the HMC again without doing the upgrade, you must log in and run the Save Upgrade Data task again before performing the upgrade

Do the following at the HMC interface to upgrade the HMC by means of the Recovery DVDs.
1.        Select Licensed Internal Code Maintenance, then HMC Code Update
2.        Select Save Upgrade Data
3.        Insert a formatted DVD-RAM media into the DVD drive
4.        Select the DVD drive, click Continue, and then click Continue
5.        Wait for the Save Upgrade Data task to complete. If the task fails, contact your next level of support before proceeding. If the Save Upgrade Data task is successful, the following optional procedure can be performed to verify the data
a) Open a restricted shell terminal as follows
1) Select Right click on desktop
2) Select Terminals, then rshterm
b) Run the command mount /media/cdrom
c) Run the command ls –l /media/cdrom
d) Verify that there are five tar files with the following names
ACMSaveData.tar
RSCTSaveUpgrade.tar
SaveCCFWUpgradeData.tar
SaveHSCSystemUpgradeData.tar
SaveProfileDataUpgrade.tar
If any of these tar files are missing, contact your next level of support
6.        Once the Save Upgrade Data task is successful, remove the DVD-RAM, insert the first V7.3.2 recovery media MH01059 (which was ordered from IBM or downloaded and burned to DVD as indicated above) into the DVD-RAM drive, select the Console menu option, and then select Exit.
7.        Click Exit Now to display the Exit Hardware Management Console window
8.        Click on dropdown arrow, click to highlight Reboot Console, and click OK
9.        The HMC reads the media in the DVD-RAM drive and displays the Install/Backup/Restore wizard window. Select Upgrade, and then click Next
10.        Click Finish to start the Upgrade process
11.        Click Finish to start the Upgrade process
12.        When the first media is complete, the following options are displayed
1.        Install additional software from media
2.        Finish the installation at a later date
13.        Select Option 1, and then press the Enter key to continue the upgrade. The following prompt is displayed:
Please insert the media into the drive and press Enter.
14.        Remove the first DVD, insert the second V7.3.2 Recovery Media DVD into the DVD-RAM drive, and then press the Enter key to complete the Upgrade. The HMC restores the data preserved by the Save Upgrade Data task, and then completes the booting process. During this process you are prompted to select the language and keyboard mapping
15.        At the Hardware Management Console login prompt, log in using your user ID and password
16.        Review and Accept the License Agreement for Machine Code two times to complete the HMC 7.3.2 code update
