Job Description

We are searching for one (Senior) Software Build Manager for Nokia's coming TD-SCDMA products. This position will report to Nokia Beijing
GSDO (Global Software Delivery Operation) and its main purpose is to collect all the available software elements for TD-SCDMA products
and make sure that the product delivery chain has robust software build environment support.

The key jobs for this position is about to setting up the software build toolkit and process for TD-SCDMA product creation, producing product
software builds for variant product configuration and providing customized build support for other functions in the product delivery chain.
He/She will also need to explore the needs from SW team perspective, collecting the tools requirements, and make tools developments.

Qualification

- Solid skills in modern software configuration tools (Synergy, CVS etc.) Experience in working with Synergy is highly appreciated. Basic
understanding on software coding is a must.
- Good understanding about software version control and configuration management. Proven record in managing software build, release &
configuration. Experience in managing deliveries from multiple R&D teams (multi-location, multi-supplier, multi-development group) is highly appreciated
- Strong tools skills about script (Perl, Shell etc), has long experience of tools development experience is more preferred.
- English communication (oral & written) is a must.
- Basic understanding about Nokia S60 platform or Symbian is a plus


COMMENTS
The build mgr no need do release every week with same routine work, but more focus on make custom build by request, and solve build issues by himself independtly, maintain build env for integration team. Be able to write tools to support team needs. Need good network and communication skills, this role is more support role, so he/she need to be very proactive to collecting team needs, and develop tools for the team.
He/she will also have 1-2 build mgr from subcontracting team to coordinate, he/she need to be skilled at project overview, and be able to lead the small build mgr team.

Job Grade:  8-9

Job Description

We are searching for one (Senior) Software Build Engineer for Nokia's coming TD-SCDMA products. This position will report to Nokia Beijing
GSDO (Global Software Delivery Operation) and its main purpose is to collect all the available software elements for TD-SCDMA products
and make sure that the product delivery chain has robust software build environment support.

The key jobs for this position is about to
Setting up the software build toolkit and process for TD-SCDMA product creation,
Producing product  software custom builds for different product needs, like product configuration, feature pre-integration, error pre-verification.
Providing on time support for other functions in the product delivery chain, like doing smoke test, or verify the phone for testing purpose.
Explore the needs from SW team perspective, collecting the tools requirements, and implement the tools.


Qualification

Must have:
Bachelor or Master degree in the CS, EE or other relevant areas.
Rich software coding experience in C++ (at least in 4 recent years)
Candidates shall show clear strengths and problem solving skills in development and integration areas. Be able to identify and solve build errors  quickly
Strong tools skills about script (Perl, Shell etc), be able to write script independently for tools needs.
Structurized and logical English communication skill is required in this job.
Candidates shall present good teamwork skills with an open & honest character
Good understanding about software version control and configuration management(CVS, ClearCase, Synergy, etc).
Be proactive to support other team members.

Candidate has below qualification will be a plus:
- Basic understanding about Nokia S60 platform or Symbian.
- Experience in managing deliveries from multiple R&D teams (multi-location, multi-supplier, multi-development group) is highly appreciated


Candidate has below competence is more preferred
- Experience in working with S60 integration environment is highly appreciated.
- Be able to analysis the issues root cause by take traces.
- Has project integration and trouble-shooting experience.
