Job Title:  Senior Software Development Engineer
EBU Controllers & SoC R&D SH-MTSL

•        From a top university
•        GPA over 3.5
•        Over 3 years of experience in development of home gateway projects
•        Proven experience in embedded software development and integration
•        Experience with Linux development
•        Fluent English is a must

Mission Statement: Marvell is investing in technologies, which will build the Internet 3.0. The new products are in the segment of home networking, Optical Access and carrier network. Marvell brings the excellence of technology execution to China customer base, and work closely with key suppliers to bring to market competitive and technology driven products.
Marvell recognizes that significant technology development is needed for China market, and is establishing a development center in China to develop software packages for Marvell’s new AVANTA family of devices.
Localizing development specializing in the China market will accelerate Marvell technology proliferation into the following key segments: CPU applications, PON based broadband access, and other Marvell growing products.

Description:  Highly knowledgeable software engineer is needed
The software engineer will be part of the definition of unique china customers’ needs and take part of the development to specific China telecommunications’ requirement.

1.        Capable of understanding communications-centric code base, and able to develop software, based on specific requirements of China customers
2.        Excellent experience in Linux IPv4/IPv6 networking(iptables, netfilter, …) development
3.        Excellent experience in home gateway applications, and management protocols(SNMP, TR069,…)
4.        Excellent development skills
5.        Excellent team player

Experience with the Following is an advantage:
1.        Debugging and writing code for LSP, drivers, L2/3/4 applications, management, and integration of packages in Linux environment
2.        Full software development cycle: design, development, testing, debug, interoperability, performance-tuning
3.        Experience with xPON applications

Travel Requirements: Less than 10%

•        Over 3 years of experience in SQA of networking applications for Broadband Access and/or carrier equipment
•        Fluent English is a must

1.        Knowledge of the white-box and black-box testing methodology and quality assurance (QA) flow
2.        Capable of writing test strategies and test cases based on specific requirements of China customers
3.        Excellent understanding of L2/L3 networking and telecom management protocols
4.        Proven experience in networking test equipments such as SmartBits/Ixia/Test Center
5.        Experience in working in Linux
6.        Excellent analytical analysis/testing skills
7.        Excellent team player

Experience with the Following is an advantage:
1.        Full software development cycle: design, development, testing, debug, interoperability, performance-tuning
2.        Experience in scripting language Tcl/Expect, Perl
3.        Experience with PON and Home Gateway applications
