Responsibilities  
Works with minimal supervision on analysis tasks, and with little or no supervision on development tasks. Designs, develops, maintains and implements software modules in a given product. Participates in the definition of the lifecycle of software process and in code reviews. With little or no supervision, completes analysis of partially defined tasks, completes major portions of complex functional specs/design documents or entire documents and completes development and/or maintenance assignments. Collaborates within and across groups in writing functional and design specifications, development schedules and user interface specifications. Identifies and suggests solutions to problems of significant scope. Generates engineering test plans from functional specification documents. Uses professional concepts and company policies and procedures to solve a wide range of difficult problems in imaginative and practical ways. Broad application of principles, theories, and concepts in applicable discipline, plus working knowledge of other related fields. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience 4-6 years – Should have in-depth knowledge of required programming languages.

Development experience on Linux
Familiar with software development process

Storage software development experience is a plus

Job Title:                Senior Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

•        The Senior System Engineering Specialist will work as a member of the sales team to provide in-depth technical knowledge and provide assistance during the sales cycle, supporting end-user customers, channel and industry partners in the deployment of products.
•        In this role you will work with the System Engineering team to provide subject matter expertise in relevant solution areas, design the solution using a range of Symantec products in order to gain technical acceptance from the customer and drive sales revenue.
•        Articulate and demonstrate Symantec solutions, influence customer’s technical requirements in partnership with the business unit, and differentiate products relative to competition.
•        Coordinate with Marketing and Sales to ensure that Symantec initiatives are timely and appropriate for current end user and/or market demand.
•        The Senior Specialist should recognize new business opportunities in the account, helping to generate and maintain the revenue pipeline.
•        Presentations and customer interaction are a critical part of this position.
•        Mentor other SEs within the organization and provide training for the sales community.
•        Work with other SEs to provide subject matter expertise in relevant solution areas, design the solution using a range of Symantec products in order to gain technical acceptance from the customer and thus drive sales revenue.
•        Exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria.
•        This position may require travel throughout an assigned region, and may call for travel with short notice.

               
        Qualifications
        •         Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
•        3-8 years experience in systems administration, pre-sales or related field.
•        Previous vendor and or pre-sales Systems Engineering experience required.
•        Expertise in security solutions and/or enterprise technology or software solutions.
•        Strong working knowledge of Windows, Linux, AIX, HP-UX and Solaris operating system platforms.
•        Experience with Symantec security products such as SEP/SNAC, SBG, SWG, DLP, SSIM, CCS, SCSP and PGP
•        Must possess presentation-ready knowledge of several Symantec or competitor solutions and possess expertise in products making up one or more solutions.
•        Must be recognized as the product expert of an assigned product group or specific technology.
•        Ability to present a professional appearance and demeanor.
•        Ability to relate to a wide range of technical staff and managers in customer environments. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•        Have the ability to handle project management responsibilities for implementation of company related solutions assigned by the manager.
•        Hold CISSP or CISA certifications a plus
•        Hold Master degree a plus



Job Title:                     Software Engineer

Responsibility

The position, based in Beijing, is participating in a software development project that has engineers worldwide, and ensures all Symantec products to be operating with global environment. S/he will be responsible for writing functional specifications, developing software modules based on requirements, conducting unit tests, fixing incidents, etc. S/he should be able to work on several tasks simultaneously, have a good sense of project status and provide improvement suggestions.


Qualifications

•        M.S., B.S. or higher in Computer Science
•        3+ year software development experience on Windows/UNIX. Job experience in I18N is plus
•        Experience of participating a development of global software
•        Strong skills in C++, Java, C#. Experience in XML, JSP, PHP is plus
•        Must have Object Oriented software design skill
•        Familiar with SQL server, or Oracle, mySQL
•        English communication is a must
•        Sophisticated logical thinking and analytical skills
•        Self-motivated, can-do attitude, good team player, hardworking
