The Solution Architect will work closely with bid managers and pricing experts to:

-        Analyze detailed customer ITO and infrastructure requirements (RFPs, RFIs)
-        Map customer requirements to Unisys solutions
-        Create detailed work packages including cost elements and transition plans for achieving steady-state operations

Required Skills:

        2+ years experience designing ITO and infrastructure solutions and responding to RFPs and/or RFIs

        Architect experience (7+ years) in two or more of the following areas:
o        End User Productivity – virtualization, software distribution, zero touch services, roaming users
o        Remote infrastructure management - remote network, storage and systems management, event handling (BMC based), runbook automation
o        Service management – service desk, service management processes, CMDB
o        Cloud Computing – secure, virtualized, multi-tenancy environments
o        Enterprise Networks
o        Enterprise computing security
o        Data center consolidation, server virtualization, and data center processes

Desired Skills:

        Relevant certifications in Infrastructure Services (ITIL), Systems Engineering and Administration (MCSE, MCSA, RHCE, SCSA, etc.), Information Management (CISM, CISA), and/or Security (CISSP)
        Working knowledge of IT operational procedures and processes.
        Knowledge and experience with Enterprise Systems Management including design, testing, and implementation.
        Data Center and Data Center management experience.
        Experience in developing, enhancing and supporting event correlation.
        Familiarity with database and infrastructure software design, implementation, maintenance, upgrade and operations technique.
        Knowledge of data processing and network/communication concepts, products and protocols
        Familiarity with various operating systems and industry-accepted standards and client/server application computing environments.
        Experience in project management including managing and motivating technical personnel.
        Possesses strong product, technology, and industry knowledge.
        Experience performing storage and enterprise platform systems design, implementation, troubleshooting, and management across heterogeneous environments.
        Working knowledge of storage technologies (i.e., SAN, NAS, iSCSI, Fiber Channel, Enterprise Storage Arrays, Data Replication, HSM). Administration of multiple UNIX environments, hardware and operating systems.
        Experience with design (blueprinting) and developing conceptual, logical, and technical architecture models.   


Degree:
Bachelors degree or higher in CS, CIS, MIS or equivalent


Responsibilities:
        Technical
o        Translates high-level requirements into specific designs for projects.
o        Design steps include requirements analysis, performance analysis, benchmarking and bandwidth analysis, and detailed design of the system.
o        Sets technical operations services and infrastructure software standards.
o        Confirms and prioritizes project plans
o        Collaborates with other architects to ensure plans and indentified solutions meet customer needs and expectations.
        Customer Interface
o        Communicate with sales, solution teams, and key customer stakeholders to gain clarity on customer requirements
o        Provide up-to-date information to clients in response to specific inquiries
o        Follow up on commitments prior to dates requested.
o        Drive the innovation roadmap based on Unisys Offerings where possible
        Skills Required:
o        Ability to create detailed conceptual, logical and physical architectures
o        Well conversant in automation tools and techniques
o        Understanding of Data Center operations, server administration processes, and network and communication protocols
o        Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
o        Very good communication skills
o        Ability to deal with partners and peers located worldwide
