Debian amd64不能安装firefox 3.5，求助

新安装的Debian amd64，
Linux debian 2.6.29-2-amd64 #1 SMP Sun May 17 17:15:47 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux
我从mozilla上下载了一个firefox3.5放在我的home目录下，解压缩后运行firefox，它提示我找不到 libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0， 我apt安装libgtk后，启动firefox它还是提示找不到 libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0，我发现/usr/lib下面已经有这个动态链接库了，于是我用ln -s做了一个链接，再运行firefox，它提示：
app/firefox/firefox-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64

我的链接的libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0如下：
lrwxrwxrwx 1 zhen zhen 28 06-05 18:45 app/firefox/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0 -> /usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0

我晕了，这个amd64怎么这么难搞喔，32位下的debian我都轻松搞定，请高人支招！
