ubuntu8.4编译安装samba无法访问

编译安装samba3.0.32出现“找不到网络路径”的问题。ubuntu8.4为什么在编译安装前有个samba目录（/etc/samba）?
我把samba3.0.32安装在/usr/local/samba目录下和/etc/samba有冲突吗？
运行testparm检测的是/etc/samba/smb.conf 文件不是/usr/local/samba/bin/smb.conf,把/usr/local/samba/bin/smb.conf拷到/etc /samba目录下，运行testparm显示如下：

执行：smbclient -L localhost   
显示：
walker@walker-computer:~$ smbclient -L localhost
Error connecting to 127.0.0.1 (连接被拒绝)
Connection to localhost failed (Error NT_STATUS_CONNECTION_REFUSED)

没有这么复杂，看你的应用要求不是很好
apt-get install就适合了
或者使用新立得工具也可以
