ubuntu硬盘安装

今天用给AMD 2.4G×4核CPU，ASUS主板，SATA硬盘装双系统，XP和UBUNTU。

开始C盘格式化成NTFS，安装XP，很顺利；
当放入UBUNTU7.04光盘后，重启，出现初始界面，选择start and install，出现错误跳出，
找到

网站，有如下解决方案：
At the LiveCD initial boot screen:
o Select F6 for more options
o Add the following option to the beginning of the options list:
break=top
o Press enter to start booting
Ubuntu will start booting, but kick you out to a command prompt; at the prompt type these two commands:
modprobe piix
exit
但是我在初始界面按F6没什么反应，根本进不了选项设置；(F1弹出的帮助说明有也有关于F6的说明),奇怪！

没办法，改用装UBUNTU8.04，但是手头没有刻录光驱，所以，采用硬盘安装，参照文章

注意，下载grub.exe,grldr，修改menu.lst,boot.ini，从iso中提取vmlinux,initrd.img，全放在C盘，
安装成功！

感觉现在越来越离不开网络，离不开搜索引擎了。。。。。。
