1.       how to change mil to mm in pcb1.pcb? Design|option|imperial->metric
2.       how to do it in pcb1.lib? tools|library options
3.       how to obtain a pcb1.lib from pcb1.pcb?  design|make library
4.       how to deselect ? edit deselect
5.       when you want to add a component in a sch.lib, use shortcut T+C. the add button works another we, which isnot what you want
6.       you change the component, then press update sch button, the .sch file will change accordingly
