求助：redhat安装matlab-7-R14-sp2 运行就死机！！！

如题：
RHEL5-AS5下安装matlab7过程无错误，但是安装完成后启动matlab（[root@localhost ~]# /usr/local/matlab/bin/matlab）就打开启动画面，之后就死在那里，无任何反应；若进入字符界面（[root@localhost ~]# /usr/local/matlab/bin/matlab -nojvm）反应如下：

colordef(0,'white') % Set up for white defaults

没看明白怎么回事，请教哪位大侠？？给分析一下原因。
注：网上搜索说matlab启动死机主要是由于语言问题，就是matlab7与系统的中文不兼容，但是在英文系统下启动仍然是这个现象，所以排除语言原因。
