急！cisco路由器问题：为何经常出现line protocol down？

我们公司的一个分公司通过光纤连接到总部的一台cisco路由器上，目前经常出现连不上网的情况，查看路由器端口信息，发现总是：line protocol down。请问这是什么原因？如何解决？谢谢！！

line protocol表明的是线路是否连接正常
如果经常down的话，有可能是光纤的连接有问题

最简单的是先打环路测试，然后把环路测试范围扩大。。直至查到故障点。。
