Did you delete /root or / ? /root is not a big deal. It is root user's home directory. You will lose installation log, kickstart cfg and anything you place in it. However the machine should still work. If you deleted / , there is no magic but re-install your OS unless you have backups. In that case, you can boot from cdrom, mount your / partition under /mnt/sysimage and perform restore. If you recursively deleted / , then you need to find /mnt/sysimage/etc/fstab file, identify the other partitions and recover one by one |
