Question about swap space on redhat ?

I installed redhat on one server. There is 768 RAM in it. I set up 600M for swap space when I install OS. When I use "free" to check. I never seen swap space has been used ( I man : used swap space ia always 0). Do I need to active it or do other configuration?  Or something wrong?

Thank you for your help. I checked "swapon" command and /etc/fstab. Nothing is wroing. I am going to think of it. Maybe I will need your guys help in the furture.
