The Position
• You will be involved in all stages of the development life cycle, from requirements
analysis through to build and test.
• You will be working with an international team of developers to build and improve
front and back end technologies that deliver web based applications, end to end
data management systems, document publishing and sales support systems.
• You will work within a small Shanghai based team under the direction of the
Development Team Leader, ensuring that our existing frameworks and
technologies are deployed to provide our Chinese business personnel with
cutting edge solutions.
• You will gain exposure to a number of languages and systems, as well as utilizing
Object Oriented Design, Systems Analysis and Database Design skills.

we utilize a number of languages and technologies, including C/C++, Python, XML/XSLT,
PHP, MySQL, Apache, Unix (FreeBSD, Linux), Perl, .NET and other Open Source software.
Your Skills and Experience
• You will have studied Computer Science or a related discipline at university, and
graduated with excellent results.
• You will have gained substantial development experience either through a
previous internship or through in-depth project work, and will be able to
demonstrate strong programming skills.
• You should enjoy working in a team environment and cope well under pressure.
• You will be able to communicate effectively in English, collaborating on system
design and implementation with both UK and US based personnel, and ensuring
our Asian and Australian business partners are kept up to date.
• You will be able learn new languages and gain an understanding of current
systems within a short time frame, becoming productive quickly.
• An understanding of Databases and SQL would be an advantage.
