linux中创建新的文件系统

在创建的时候（以root登入）输入：fdisk /dev/hdc 后
显示：you will not be able to write the partition table.
Note: sector size is 2048(not 512)
Device contains neither a valid DOS partition table, nor Sun, SGI or OSF disklabel.
Building a new DOS disklabel. Changes will remain in memory only until you decide to write them. After that, of course, the previous content won't be recoverable.
Warning: invalid flag 0x0000 of partition table 4 will be corrected by w(rite)

Command (m for help):

请问是怎么回事，如果直接不理这些信息，创建出来的文件系统只可读，无法操作。
请问应该如何调整才能正确创建文件系统。
