symantec给的solution
这两个问题都是与微软OS的某些限制(如File Protection feature)有关,具体描述如下。
首先针对文件丢失的问题,请参考如下文档解决
因以下文件损坏或者丢失,windows无法启动
<windows root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
请重新安装以上文件的拷贝
Title
Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: <Windows root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
Problem
Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \system32\ntoskrnl.exe
Error
Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt
Solution
When rebooting a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 server after using NetBackup to perform a full system restore, the following message is encountered:
Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt.
<Windows root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe.
Please re-install a copy of the above file.
The above may be due to the Microsoft Windows File Protection feature preventing critical system files from being overwritten by restored system files on reboot. This mechanism is described in Microsoft Knowledge Base article 222193 (formerly Q222193) available from Microsoft at:
Description of the Windows File Protection feature
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/222193
Upon completion of a full system recovery (see NetBackup Technote 329471), before rebooting the server disable the Windows System File Checker as described in the Microsoft Knowledge Base article above.
The SfcScan value in the following registry key has three possible settings:
Note: Refer to the Microsoft Article for the specific operating system versions this applies to and for possible updates or corrections to this information.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
The settings for the SfcScan value are:
0x0 = do not scan protected files after restart. (Default value)
0x1 = scan all protected files after every restart (set if sfc /scanboot is run).
0x2 = scan all protected files one time after a restart (set if sfc /scanonce is run).
Warning: Incorrect use of the Windows registry editor may prevent the operating system from functioning properly. Great care should be taken when making changes to a Windows registry. Registry modifications should only be carried-out by persons experienced in the use of the registry editor application. It is recommended that a complete backup of the registry and workstation be made prior to making any registry changes.
