POSITION DESCRIPTION
Asia Corporate Banking and Technology team and Post-Trade Technology team are looking for a Project Management Officer. The individual is to provide support for project planning and management, document management and repository administration, quality assurance, issue and problem tracking, risk management and contract administration.
Role Description
Liaise with Project Managers to update their project schedules and provide assistance in the planning and execution of their project portfolios.
Develop and implement strategy for the control and tracking of project related items including issues, assumptions, dependencies and associated costs and resources.
Develop a strategy for and provide communications of project, including documentation, Web site, meeting information
Work with global / regional counterparts to provide synergies between regions and ensure the compliance with global best practices.
Identify and capture risks and exceptions and subsequently monitor, track and manage them
Assist IT managers in:
Being compliant to Morgan Stanley project management standards
Project governance on risk, financials, resources, scope, communication, timeline, post-go-live monitoring
Establishing travel, headcount projections, and in conducting Actual vs. Budget analysis
Vendor contract management and invoice processing
Professional Skills
Language
Fluent English required
Project Management:
Minimum of 5-6 Years experience on Technology projects / Application development
Knowledge & experience of working with a Full Project Lifecycle
Highly organized
Knowledge:
Experience in Technology environments, implementation of both large-scale and end-user technology solutions an advantage
Experience working with MS Office, MS Project, MS Visio
Business Analysis experience preferred
Finance Industry knowledge preferred
Professional Skills:
Team player
Self-starter who can work independently
Excellent Communication & presentation skills
Willingness and desire to learn.
Education
University degree
Formal project management training desirable
