在两个系统上装了fvwm和fvwm的themes
其中一个可以出背景图片，而另一个不可以
两个系统的唯一区别就是一个完全安装，而另一个是选择安装

查看LOG，有以下提示
jpegLoad: /usr/local/share/fvwm/themes/redmondxp/images/background/x-xp-sky.jpg - Unsupported SOF marker type 0xc2

/usr/local/share/fvwm/themes/redmondxp/images/background/x-xp-sky.jpg: unkown or unsupported image type

不知道这种情况需要补装什么包，请教各位：）

What do you mean by complete and custom install? I build fvwm from tarball , just ./configure && make && make install. It works well.

And would you post your /usr/local/share/fvwm/themes/redmondxp/background file here ?

And where can I find fvwm's log ?

安装的

版本是2.5.10好像，并且安装了libst什么的fvwm包，也安装了fvwm-themes-full包

两个的配置完全一样，所有和fvwm相关的东西我都是从另一个系统中复制过来的

没有log，其实我是用init5进去，切换操作平台为fail什么的那个，进去以后右下角就直接一个console，然后运行fvwm-themes-start才显示出log的

你是怎么安装LINUX的？

I am booting fvwm from gdm.

I only installed fvwm-2.5.10,fvwm-themes-0.7,fvwm-themes-0.7-extra. I am also using redmonxp theme.

comment out this line: + I Exec exec fvwm-themes-root /usr/local/share/fvwm/themes/redmondxp/images/background/x-xp-sky.jpg
in your /local/share/fvwm/themes/redmondxp/background

and insert this + I Exec exec xloadimage -onroot -fullscreen  /usr/local/share/fvwm/themes/redmondxp/images/background/x-xp-sky.jpg

If still don't work ,try a png file instead.

看他的提示是不支持jpg，为什么完全安装就支持呢，肯定和什么东西有关系

我一直是 runlevel 3的，~/下记得有个erro的log，如果没有就start 2 >; file，应该是可以的。

我的fvwm没有使用背景图片，没有使用过themes，一直是自己写。我的似乎是缺少一个FVWM 的Module来加载背景图片。不过，觉得黑色的桌面也挺好。

to platinum: I am booting my laptop which has a gaim installed ,we can chat there.

to 零二年的夏天: I tryed your fvwm2rc , I think it can load images , but need a startup section. I will try for that.
