The heartbeat over IP aliases function allows which of the following?

Configure heartbeating over IP Aliases. If this method is used, you specify a base address for the heartbeat paths. HACMP then configures a set of IP addresses and subnets for heartbeating, which are totally separate from those used as service and non-service addresses. With this heartbeating method, all service and non-service IP labels can be configured on the same subnet or on different subnets. Since HACMP automatically generates the proper addresses required for heartbeating, all other addresses are free of any constraints.

但是还看到这样一句
When there are multiple interfaces on the same network on the same node, you must carefully plan the subnets and routing. You must avoid any scenario where multiple interfaces have a route to the same subnet.
Although heartbeating over IP Aliases bypasses the subnet requirements for HACMP to perform the heartbeating function correctly, the existence of multiple routes to the same subnet (outside of HACMP) may produce undesired results for your application.
