奇怪的vmtools安装错误，vmware server 1.06 rhel5.4 想装VMware Tools的时候报“WARNING: You cannot install the VMware Tools package until the guest operating system is running. If your guest operating system is not running, choose Cancel and install the VMware Tools package later.”

点install继续

[root@rac1 vmware-tools-distrib]# ./vmware-install.pl
A previous installation of VMware software has been detected.

The previous installation was made by the tar installer (version 3).

Keeping the tar3 installer database format.

Error: Unable to execute "/usr/bin/vmware-uninstall-tools.pl.

Failure

Execution aborted.

[root@rac1 vmware-tools-distrib]#

./vmware-install.pl 这个命令怎么运行失败呢？？

A previous installation of VMware software has been detected.

这是因为你已经通过图形方式安装了。

运行/usr/bin/vmware-config-tools.pl进行配置

这是因为你已经通过图形方式安装了。

没有这文件。是不是在别的地方配置。
[root@rac1 ~]# cd /usr/bin
[root@rac1 bin]# vmware-config-tools.pl
-bash: vmware-config-tools.pl: command not found
[root@rac1 bin]# pwd
/usr/bin
[root@rac1 bin]# find . -name "vm*"
./vmstat
[root@rac1 bin]#
