General Summary

EMC Solutions Group is looking for principal level engineers to work with a team under Shared Solution Engineering focused on new Storage product characterization with enterprise applications. The individual would work with an experienced team of engineers focused on the storage system application performance. Primary focus will be on designing and delivering strategic application solutions and helping company architect next generation storage systems with features optimized for enterprise applications.

Principal Responsibilities
• Become a key contributor to the team with experience and desire to grow into increasingly challenging technical, business and leadership roles.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• 8+ years of progressive experience in complex software system design and development
• Strong, solid and hands-on programming experience with C/C++(>8 years)
• Solid development experience in Windows programming with Win32 API, COM, DCOM, etc. (>8 years)
• Good experience in C# developing Web/Desktop applications with .NET platform
• In-depth understanding of Windows Domain and security management (Active Directory, LDAP)

Desired skills
• Experience in Microsoft Exchange, Notes development
• Knowledge in building archiving and e-discovery system

Job Title/Grade:        Software QA Engineer

EMC’s ESG (Enterprise Solution Group)is seeking a QA engineer to join its engineering team(PIE – Partner Integration Engineering Team) in China to work on its application integration products. Working with other Quality Engineering team members, including feature domain experts, the candidate is expected to learn the product feature specifications, execute the data driven test, develop automation test scripts, and report test failures through bug tracking systems.

Responsibilities:
• Write test cases based on requirements and technical specifications
• Execute white box, gray box and black box testing using defined methodologies for manual and/or automated tests.
• Isolate, reproduce and track bugs and verify bug fixes
• Analyze test results to verify functionality and recommend corrective action in the case of failure
• Work closely with developers on defect resolution
• Document test in the form of test metric reports

Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor or above degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 0-2 year working experience as a QA professional in testing and automation development
• Good understanding of Windows operating systems
• Familiar with virtualization platforms(VMware) is Plus
• Solid verbal and written English communication skills
• Willingness to take on challenges and learn new technologies
• Familiar with Storage technologies(SAN/NAS/IP SAN) is a good plus
• Familiar with C #/SilkTest is a good plus
