Tools - Senior Development Engineer

Summary:

Actively design, build, monitor, develop projects and evaluate new and emerging technologies. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and intimately familiar with JQuery, CSS3, Javascript, HTML5, and have proficiency for many open source tools and Object orientation programming experience. This is a hands-on engineering role.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Develop UI/web UI for eBay applications
- site support and tools development
- Daily work and troubleshooting issues related to production systems.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Strong communication skills both in mandarin and English
- 3+ years programming experience in large projects
- Working expertise with JQuery, CSS3, Ajax, Javascript, Java and back-and-forth data exchange
- Strong knowledge of web development technologies and protocols, including: HTTP, web services and REST
- Have some experience with mysql, database, oracle
- Unix, Apache and Perl be a plus
- Passion for technology

Education:
- Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science
