Qualifications • BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree.

Responsibilities The Quality Assurance (QA) Engineering Team in Symantec’s Security Technology and Response (STAR) organization is responsible for the quality of security content that is used on over 120 million desktops, servers and mobile devices around the world. This content includes detection and repair for security risks (e.g. worms, Trojans, viruses, adware, and spyware).
As a member of the QA Engineering Team the candidate is responsible for testing, creating and improving processes to mitigate the risk of problems with the quality of content. The role is required reverse the files with the goal of removing false positives. Also the role will involve the design, development, maintenance and improvement of tools and systems in order to increase the overall quality of content.
