Installing the IPv6 Feature in an HP-UX 11i v1 System

System Requirements
HP-UX 11i v1 (B.11.11) PA-RISC 32- or 64-bit servers.
Software Requirements
HP-UX 11i v1 IPv6 requires the following patches (or its superseding patches):
•        Cumulative Transport Transition patch PHNE_35351
•        Cumulative STREAMS Transition patch PHNE_35453
Based on the products installed on your system, the following software products or patches are required if you want to realize the NOSYNC performance gain provided by the cumulative Transport and STREAMS transition patches:
•        DLPI patch PHNE_33704 (or later) - Must be updated
•        IPFilter A.03.05.14 (or later) - If your system has IPFilter installed
•        HP-UX IPSec A.02.01.01 (or later) - If your system has HP-UX IPSec installed

Installing the HP-UX 11i v1 IPv6 Feature
To install the HP-UX 11i v1 IPv6 feature, complete the following steps:
1.        Review the System Requirements and Software Requirements sections.
2.        Acquire the IPv6NCF11i depot from this page:
a.        Select \"receive for free >>\" at the bottom right of this page.
b.        Choose the IPv6NCF11i depot for the HP-UX 11i v1 operating system.
c.        Enter your registration information, and read and accept the Terms and Conditions statements.
d.        Select \"Download\" at the bottom of the page and save the IPv6NCF11i depot to a local file on your system, for example, /tmp/IPv6NCF11i.depot/.
e.        Run the following command to verify whether the depot file is on your system:

swlist -d @ /tmp/IPv6NCF11i.depot
3.        Copy the following into a single installation bundle called COMBO.depot:
o        IPv6NCF11i.depot
o        PHNE_35351
o        PHNE_35453
o        IPFilter A.03.05.14 (or later)
o        PHNE_33704 (or later)
o        HP-UX IPSec A.02.01.01 (or later)

4.        Run the following swinstall command to install combo.depot:

swinstall -x autoreboot=true -s /tmp/COMBO.depot

HP-UX Mobile IPv6 A.01.00 and PPPoe/PPPv6 are selectable while installing the IPv6NCF11i bundle.

The system reboots automatically if the swinstall execution completes without errors.  
Verifying the HP-UX 11i v1 IPv6 Installation
To verify the installation, complete the following steps after swinstall installs the IPv6NCF11i depot and the cumulative transition patches:
1.        Examine the following log files for error messages:

- /var/adm/sw/swinstall.log
- /var/adm/sw/swagent.log
2.        Run the swlist command as follows:

swlist IPv6NCF11i

If the IPv6NCF11i depot is installed correctly, it will be displayed in the swlist output.
3.        Run the following command to verify whether the installation is successful:

swverify IPv6NCF11i

If the installation is successful, the following message is displayed:

verification succeeded
