solaris 的 CDE是否要求进行显卡配置?

我想用solaris for x86, 但不知道我的显示器是否合适,请问solaris是否要进行图形环境的配置,我的意思是不要象Linux那样如果显卡太新,会出现不支持的现象,从而导致我的 solaris CDE用不了!

但因对硬件的不了解，所以我在上面犯了个错误，今天我查了intel.com。
我查到了我的显卡的具体芯片，是 Intel Extreme Graphics; 那 solaris8 or soalris9 for x86是否支持？

还有，如果solaris不支持我的显卡，那我是否可以安装solaris9　for x86？并且还可以使用CDE or GNOME2.0呢？

我看了Intel的站点,看到Intel (R) Extreme Graphics chip 有Linux下的显卡驱动(其实在我的主板自带的CDROM中就有这个驱动). 同时,我查看了一下Extreme Graphics chip这个芯片的介绍,它是作为 intel 810的扩展出现的,intel 说可以使用 intel 810的驱动(i.e.   i810),他们是经过测试的!  而幸运的是在solaris8 or solaris9有intl 810的驱动(其实在其他OS中也有).

另外,如果不能支持,可以使用 vesa 驱动,这样也行!

太好了,在 XFree86 4.1.0 or 4.2.0 都有这些驱动!
