ARP/RARP 是什么？

arp(address resolution protocol) is for getting MAC address based on an IP address on a local network. \r\n\r\nFor ex, arp broadcast arp packets on local network with an target IP address. The targeted IP address machine will pick up this broadcasted packget, fill it with its MAC/network hardware address and send it to the machine that sent the arp broadcast at the first place.\r\n\r\nRARP is the opposite for that. Usually it\'s used for machine that doesn\'t have hard drive or machine that boots from remote network drive.\r\n\r\nMy english sucks. Hope this helps. I know more about Chinese but doen\'t know how to input chinese here..\r\n\r\ntom.
