PostGreSQL紧急求救！！！！！！！！

我安装完了postgresql
也添加了.bashrc中的那些东西
可是当我用postmaster -S启动postgresql的时候出错
提示
   "root" execution of the PostgreSQL server is not permitted.
The server must be started under an unprivileged user ID to prevent

我估计是root级别抬高，危险，就新建了一个账号，可是
在新建的帐号里面无法使用postmaster -S命令
这是怎么回事？请教请教

用 postgres 帐号,给普通权限就可以了.

tar vxf post732.tar.gz
make install
groupadd postgres
useradd postgres -d /usr/local/pgsql -g postgres
chown -R postgres.postgres /usr/local/pgsql
chmod -R 777 /usr/local/pgsql
cp lib/* /usr/lib/.
按我说的去做肯定没问题我装了30多台。
