为一台v250 机器寻求RAID solution.\r\n\r\nv250 用于医学图象存储, 一年大概要一个TB, 图象要求保存5年, 所以希望RAID的容量在5个TB左右.\r\n\r\n请问v250能否支持这么大的RAID?\r\n\r\n有经验的推荐一下哪种RAID比较合适.\r\n\r\n谢谢

It is not up to the machine but up to the disk management software or disk array to determine the maximum storage supported. Generically speaking 5TB should not be a problem at all. You need to know what software to use (if you will do software RAID) or what disk array you are going to use (if hardware RAID) before someone can help you with the second question. However, from your description, it seems that the server is used to storage historical images, meaning write once and read multiple times. If that is the case, RAID 5 is OK if you want save some money.

Thanks Brian for the reply.\r\n\r\nYou are correct, the v250 is the image storing and processing computer for our PET/CT, which means write once and extract from time to time.\r\n\r\nWe have another system that uses the Micronet Platinum SCSI RAID, it is quite simple, just connected with a SCSI cable and used as an external hard drive, but the maximum capacity is only 3.75TB.\r\n\r\nI am looking for a similar one but with bigger capacity.\r\n\r\nSome people told me I can connect several raid together but it seems a bit burden.\r\n\r\nThanks again.
