来美国工作

Since some of you asked, here is how I feel:\r\n\r\n来美国工作, 年龄和技术都不是主要的问题, 我相信你们的技术不比这里的人差.  主要是第一步怎样走以及来美后怎样适应环境和语言问题. 到这里来你会有一切从零开始的感觉, 如果你在国内已有些成就或有关系, 你会感觉落差很大. 年龄越大, 各方面也越难适应. 不过,本人感觉做技术工种美国还是比较好. 这里工作环境比较专业化, 也比较公平. 只要你有水平, 一般都会获得尊重和提拔. 做到中产阶级没有什么问题. 如果再想往上爬, 那么到处都一样, 你要会人济关系. 不过能力还是最重要的. 有能力还是有前途的. 我在国内曾工作过6年, 总的感觉是来这里后心情要平静得多. 不过现在中国发展很快, 机会很多. 如果你有些关系, 想要创业, 国内会更好. 如果将来我决定回国, 我想我不会回国来做技术的.

Why America?\r\nStay in China is good enough in my view.

15 years ago, when I was given the chance to come to America, there was no second thought. US was definitely the better choice. Nowadays, it is purely a personal preference. If you are happy in China, there is no reason you should come here. If you are not happy or if there are personal reasons to make a move, America is not a bad place to work and live either.

\r\n\r\nexactly. In a couple of months, two of my friends will move back to China since there are some better changes waiting for them. Although they have some so-called professional jobs in Canada, they think they can climb up to a higher position from the career ladder in China. In contrast, they only see glass ceilings here in Canada. But for me, it\'s a different story. It will be better for me to work in North America rather than in China as I have no strong personal relationships(it\'s called networks here) in China. I am destined to be a small potato if staying in China.
