[Closed] [ Solaris 10 ] Why I cannot use talk command?

I install the os in vmware and login in using root account.\r\n\r\nthen I login in from my own OS using test account.\r\n\r\nI find each other using command who -H.\r\n\r\nHowever, I use talk 192.168.9.10 or talk username or talk username@hostname, all does not work.\r\n\r\nAnd I have set mesg y yet.\r\n\r\nWho can help me or give me a tip?\r\n\r\nThanks a lot for your attention.\r\n\r\nI am new, please tell me detailly if you get the answer. \n\n[ 本帖最后由 ibmscream 于 2009-6-10 17:45 编辑 ]

不知道该用中文还是英文。\r\n首先使用talk命令你的2个机器的体系结构必须一样。\r\n\r\n另外，不能使用报的错误信息是什么。

Haha...\r\nI\'ve resolved the problem.\r\nI\'ve make a mistake when setting domainname.\r\nI set domainname as HAHA and it brought this problem.\r\nWhen I set it as HAHA.com and then using \"talk username@HAHA.com\", It works! :wink: \r\n\r\nAnyway, thanks a lot for all guys\' attention.\r\nI am playing in Solaris now, Surely I will meet a lot of problem, please kindly give me some help.

you may try to add an suffix .com behind your hostname in file /etc/hosts\r\nxxx.xxx.xxx.xxx hostname xxx.com\r\n\r\nI\'m not sure if it\'s works.
