I know in hpux, vi edit tmp file located in /var/tmp and each large file can be edit ,which size small than the free space of /var/tmp . \r\n\r\nyou can check the related file system to resolve this question.

in general, check /var/tmp size.\r\nmight be different on aix.

My current filesystem size:\r\nroot@s80_svc#df -k /tmp\r\nFilesystem    1024-blocks      Free %Used    Iused %Iused Mounted on\r\n/dev/hd3 _____ 311296____295092___6% ___ 142___ 1% /tmp\r\nroot@s80_svc#df -k /var\r\nFilesystem    1024-blocks      Free %Used    Iused %Iused Mounted on\r\n/dev/hd9var____65536___60168 ___9%___  282____ 2% /var\r\nroot@s80_svc#\r\n\r\nThe file edited is about 50M , and after system crash, when i run fsck, it is removed.\r\nI will try to check it again.

S80级别的机器，应用比较关键，很多软件都会产生很长的LOG，建议/tmp和/var至少128M以上，我一般设512M

最初由 larryh 发布\r\n[B]S80级别的机器，应用比较关键，很多软件都会产生很长的LOG，建议/tmp和/var至少128M以上，我一般设512M [/B]
